Well, it is official. Finger warfare the index was made public on June 30, 2011 at 10PM EST. I really hope it blows your mind. We filmed on April 20th. It took us 3 months and 10 days of post production. I know there are effects in the black margins, but I could not remove them without screwing up the aspect ratio. Oh, and I have a correction to the below post: it's not trinitrotoluene. It is TrinitroTristanoluene. That's right. I'm awesome. Anyway, here is the link: CLICK ME CLICK ME CLICK ME!

This is just a heads up [display] that Finger Warfare: The Index will be uploaded for your enjoyment today. Tristoffels and I have been working out the kinks and it will be YouTube worthy tonight folks. Bear with me here. I just need to RAGE DUMP! LOOK ABOVE THIS! DO YOU SEE THOSE LINES? THOSE ARE MUZZLE FLARES! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY OF THEM NEED TO BE BEZZIER MATTED?! NO? WELL A LOT! Ok... Now that that is out of the way, I can tell you that finger warfare is frustrating... Anyway, I'm making good progress with it, and I hope it's done soon.

Microphones.

It has come to my (wes) attention that we need some really good recording mics. This would allow us to record live music/bands. It would also allow us to start building up our own sound effect library.

Mics:

1. Azden High-performance(SMX-10) Stereo Condenser Microphone

3. Zoom Q3HD Portable Audio Video Digital Recorder


4. Zoom H2 Digital voice recorder

The only downside to this is the cash. I just purchased a laptop and am currently broke. Which kinda sucks FWI. So until my lawn business starts rolling again we won't have any recording mics soon. (Unless someone else buys them *Wink* *Wink*)

Scenes From Zombocalypsia: The Burn

Matting in final cut express is a huge pain... FCE doesn't have a pen tool like After Effects, but it does have bezzier (did I spell that right?) mattes. There is a plugin for a 50 point matte (I've used up to 16) that works great. However, for each individual point, you must turn it on, then place it in the desired position. It's like a really confusing pen tool. On the plus side, school is out, and my parents gave me a MacBook pro 15 inch (2.2ghz i7, 4gb RAM, intel hd graphics, amd radeon 6750m). This means editing and production time will b sped up. You can expect a video every two weeks or so from us during the summer.

So, we have been CRAZY BUSY, this was the end of the year in school and we had a ton of stuff going on. Also, Tristan's editing computer crapped out on him, but now we are back! We will have some sweet videos for you this weekend so get ready. There will also be more frequent blog posts.
